This movie captures all of that. Rather, you're coming to see a bunch of dumb guys getting hit in the nuts, falling into cacti, and wrestling with dangerous animals. There is not much of a plot. Yes, it loses its moments of stupid humor. And many of them are true. But I take that he enjoys doing it. There were definitely competition, but not that close.
Some people do not even know that there are rural parts of New Jersey. It is an R rated comedy. I think it because I was expecting to see a Jackass movie so I was kinda let down. Also I would drop the old man makeup and skip most of the modern day scenes. A lot of people blamed many of the problems on the New Yorkers. Maybe those characters could have been more developed. They moved to the country to get away from it all.
Action Point 1 out of 5 stars. It was directed by Tim Kirkby, and it was written by Knoxville, John Altschuler, Dave Krinsky, Derek Freda and Mike Judge. I 'm not going into great detail about this movie but I really tried watching it and I fell asleep after an hour so I don't know if my review is truly viable but it's downright terrible. The first time I rode the Alpine Slide I saw a guy who flew off the slide and was lying face down on the grass. There are some great Action Park stories. It's a real movie, with a narrative and characters and everything, but all the stunts are done for real in true Jackass form. And their kids found it all.
There really were many casualties at Action Park. It is by far one of the worst movies i've seen this year only stoners and people with bad taste in movies will enjoy this. And their kids found it all. I had so much fun up there I can barely remember most of it. They drank a lot of Schlitz beer in the movie.
I do remember the Schlitz Rocks America advertising campaign. Other than that it's just a bore, sadly. The other person in the theater I saw it at even walked out half way before the movie was over! Facing steep competition from the new mega theme park down the street, the owner and operator Johnny Knoxville of the dilapidated Action Point decides to remove all of the safety precautions and restraints from his already shoddy rides in order to attract crowds of reckless teens, daredevils and thrill-seekers. Maybe those characters could have been more developed.
How many times do we have to see Knoxville get hit in the crotch or knocked over to find out its more annoying than funny. Johnny Knoxville is getting a little too old for doing his Jackass style stunts in these movies. Action Point isn't a great movie, but it's entertaining as hell. Action Point is nothing but stupid humor of watching people get hurt by doing dumb things. If you watch the movie you need to get high like another reviewer stated.
The sufficiently scared me to be very careful. And it works out quite well, actually. Maybe that is why it struggled at the box office. He's the big name but the emotional center is Boogie. Action Park really had the crazy Alpine Sled, the looping water slide, the Tarzan Swing that went out into the lake where lady park guests would flash and guys would moon the crowd; and above all else, Action Park was dangerous, with 6 known fatalities and hundreds of injuries. But some movies are about the journey, not the destination. The humor falls flat quick and is just annoying than entertaining. The movie centers around D. It is like watching youtube videos of people doing dumb stunts. They drank a lot of Schlitz beer in the movie. With Action Point, star Johnny Knoxville is going in a different direction. Let me get this out of the way, I'm a bit of an amusement park geek, and Action Park is one of the most interesting parks that ever existed look up a web documentary, there are many.
