Before you ask, no it doesn't work with Minecraft full screen either. It picked up the game and mic fine, it didn't pick up the chat audio because it was going to a different output. It works as game recording software to manually record gameplay videos for as long as you want—all at up to 4K at 60 frames per second. Open nvidia geforce experience and go to games to see if it shows rust there.
Dxtory, I've tried the free version, recording was fine, but viewing the video was like looking at something that went from 60 fps to 30 to 20 then back up to 60 I don't quite understand your issue with Desktop recording. Hi there, Just a quick question for you guys out there that use shadow play for recording any of your games. Does anyone know any recording program that records with good frames and good quality? I've tried bandicam, but it only lowered frames by 10 and lags once in a while. I've done a fair bit of research, and i can't find anything on this problem. So you want it to only pick up the games sound and nothing else or want it to pick up the games sound and your mic but nothing else? If I use a full gaming headset it picks up everything since all the audio passes through. Just hit a hotkey to save the last 30 seconds of gameplay to your hard drive or share to YouTube or Facebook.
Try lowering the recording bit rate or resolution. This is almost always caused by playing in windowed mode or borderless windowed mode. Another thing to consider however, Nividia Shadowplay only lasts for about 5 minutes unless you change the settings. But overall it's really good for recording.
Thanks for the help though. I set mine to high quality at 15 minutes, which takes up a whopping 4gigs of disk space, but you can adjust it. I have tried messing with the audio and communication devices in the nvidia control panel and nothing worked. However, you should set this value to 5-10 minutes to improve game performance. Otherwise, you can affect performance by keeping your hard drive too cluttered.
I've just accepted the fact that I probably won't get that lol. The problem is that with I use that to capture audio it just takes all the audio from my system and since its in beta I cant edit anything within the program. I'm not really that bothered tbh, just thought I'd throw up some gameplay videos but if it's not going to just be a simple case of hitting record then I'll not bother. The feature enables you to record your games much like you would for Twitch or other platform. In nvidia i have ingame and microphone on Shadowplay is supposed to be able to detect any sound that comes out of the speakers and headphones. Or one may suggest what's the best solution since I am not really expert in this thing. If you make changes, select Save after each to keep them.
