New Sonic Arts Freestyle Macros and layering You have a row of macro controls that you can assign to any parameter of any loaded plug-in. You can also drag and drop samples into the space which are automatically loaded into Nuance. Freestyle offers a fresh approach to plugin hosting. That was very tricky because Freestyle has no rules or containers such as tracks to group and sort things by. In the end it was a huge testing effort, and the input from our beta-testers was invaluable. My interest was reignited by the Multi-Instrument feature in version 3 of StudioOne which gave a simple drag and drop interface to the placement and arrangement of virtual instruments into one big combi.
